Building the DWAM Homestead
DWAM International owns land just outside Bahn, Liberia.
DWAM exists to demonstrate the immeasurable love of Jesus Christ to the people of Liberia. We believe that God is heartbroken for those suffering in Liberia. Our response is to gather resources to fund and supply the restoration of communities devastated by civil war and poverty. Our first step is providing for basic needs such as food, water, shelter and medical care. Once that piece is in place, we will prioritize practical life skills training and education. Our hope is to cultivate honesty, integrity and a sense of purpose for each person. With relationship building, we will develop community values centered on the principles demonstrated to us through Jesus Christ, helping communities establish a foundation of unity for future generations to stand on.

Rev. Donald Wuanti was the first President of the United Liberia Inland Church. He first encountered missionaries sharing the message of Jesus as a young teenager in the early 1940s. After hearing the gospel, he was so intrigued by what he heard that even though he planned to serve in the military, he decided that Jesus was worth the pursuit. Donald left for Bahn, Liberia to find the missionaries who told him about Jesus.
According to the 2023 UNICEF Country Office Annual Report, approximately 48% of Liberia’s population is under the age of 18.
Furthermore, they state, “The development of the youngest demographic is of the utmost importance, as they play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future.”
Tuber plants like Cassava, potatoes and yams can easily be grown out of large buckets or bags, and we are utilizing this technique to teach children how to grow their own food.

“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I needed clothes, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer, him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and gave you a drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ Then the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
