About DWAM International

DWAM exists to demonstrate the immeasurable love of Jesus Christ to the people of Liberia.

We believe that God is heartbroken for those suffering in Liberia. Our response is to gather resources to fund and supply the restoration of communities devastated by civil war and poverty.

Where Our Story Begins

Rev. Donald Wuanti, the first President of the United Liberia Inland Church, first encountered missionaries sharing the message of Jesus as a young teenager in the early 1940s. Though he initially planned to serve in the military, he chose instead to follow Jesus, seeking out the missionaries who had inspired him. After completing his basic education and Bible School, Donald dedicated his life to sharing Christ’s love across Liberia. His son, Lee Wuanti, fondly recalls travelling with him from village to village, spreading the gospel and caring for others. Remembered for his deep love for Jesus and people, Rev. Wuanti’s “YES” to Jesus has had a life-changing impact on countless Liberians and continues to inspire the mission of DWAM International.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to go beyond benevolence to provide discipleship and training to equip young Liberians with the necessary skills to support future generations.

Liberians

What We Do

Due to previous wars, pandemics, and other societal interruptions, there is an ongoing humanitarian crisis occurring throughout Liberia

Donald Wuanti was one of the most influential faith leaders in Liberia, and his connection to the poor, mourners, persecuted, and meek is the driving force of this ministry

Liberia is one of America's oldest allies in Africa, and portions of ongoing strife are related to American Chattel Slavery. The current rebuilding process in Liberia can be largely aided by charitable donations and volunteer help from those who feel called to partner with us.

Many Liberians do not have access to the many basic needs we take for granted. Literacy, education, and employment rates are still recovering from several decades of traumatic experiences.

Building a strong foundation built on integrity, truth, compassion, and God’s Love, we believe we can quicken Liberia’s ability to stand on it own.
